A unit of the new DAF XF, model Super Space Cab, was exhibited at Aethra so that employees could get to know the product "that they help to manufacture with excellence, and thus build the company's brand reputation", in the words of Erick Silva, director responsible for Supplier Quality at DAF Trucks Brasil.

The exhibition integrated the activities of the DAF Quality Day, held in partnership with the client, in the second week of November.

Booth assembly and painting

Exclusive project for the Brazilian market, the new XF arrived at dealerships in September. The Space and Super Space cabins are assembled and painted in the final color in the Aethra division in Pouso Alegre, south of Minas Gerais.

Readjustment of the painting line

Due to the height of the Super Space Cab, 2.26m, Aethra readjusted the elevation of the pre-treatment tank levels from 56m³ to 60m³ and increased the level of the E-ecoat tank by 100 mm, demonstrating flexibility in meeting customers' designs.

More color on the road

Vibrant colors, the automaker's trademark, also accompany the launch. DAF brings to Brazil the orange color already widely used by its models in Europe. The "Orange Aurora" is in the process of maturation at Aethra to finalize the approval process. Altogether, the division in Pouso Alegre paints 12 colors for the automaker. The painting process follows the specifications of the matrix in the Netherlands.
